Andra Day and Andi Matichak

Cassandra Monique Batie aka Andra Day is an American R&B/Soul musician and singer. Her awards include the Grammy Award as well as the Children's and Family Emmy Award and Golden Globe Award. She is also nominated for an Academy Award. Andra isn't only a throwback R&B performer, but her gospel blues and jazz is presented in a manner that's effortless and sophisticated. Andra Day's debut Cheers to the Fall (2015) was a top hit on the R&B/hiphop charts. Additionally, her contribution to Marshall (2017) have earned the singer the Grammy Award as well as an Academy Award. The anticipation for her forthcoming album has been building through singles including Amen (2018) as well as Making Your Troubles Go Away (2020) and a Golden Globe-winning portrayal of Billie Holiday in The United States vs. Billie Holiday (2021). Andra day was born Cassandra Monique Batie, in Edmonds Washington. She grew in San Diego and the metropolitan region. In the area, she performed at churches, and was enrolled into The School of Creative and Performing Arts. When she was a teenager and listened to music of the present, she was a fan of contemporary R&B music, and later pop. However, her heart was always drawn to classical soul and jazz singers. In partnership to Gurvitz as well as Jeffrey Evans' Buskin label Day developed a Youtube following before signing to major label Warner Bros. n 2012 Day released her debut single Forever Mine on YouTube. The track was listened to rapidly by radio DJs. After signing in 2015 with Warner Bros. Records she began work on her debut album, Cheers to The Fall, featuring Adrian Gurvitz. The song "Rise Up" has become a massive anthem within social justice movements. Day received 2 Grammy nominations for her album, including Best R&B Album. She released The United States Vs. Billie Holiday in 2019, an album that explores the career and life of jazz legend Billie Holiday. In the same year, she appeared in a biopic on Holiday's life, The United States vs. Billie Holiday (2021). Andi Matichak is an American actress. Her career began in the television series Orange Is the New Black, 666 Park Avenue and Blue Bloods. Her debut in film was as Allyson in the horror series Halloween. Andi Mattichak was born the 3rd of May, 1994 in Framingham Mass.
